RED BATHROOM
The Shining has always been one of my favourite films of all time. When it came time to expand my work from smaller scale, more isolated pieces, The Shining was the first thing that came to mind as a real challenge to attempt to pull off. The set design is undeniably iconic and immediately recognisable - Stanley Kubrick himself was well known for his attention to detail, so in order to do this piece any justice at all I had my work cut out for me. My aim was to trick the viewers eye into believing they were seeing a still from the actual movie.

The scale of this series of Shining miniatures is 1:12.

This piece was displayed at the first ever Bay International Film Festival which was attended by Stanley Kubrick's producer and brother-in-law, Jan Harlan.
